Hala is a Bahraini film director based in LA/NY. She plays with surrealism to delve into her characters’ psyche and doesn’t shy away from celebrating romanticism and glamour inherent in the golden age of Hollywood. She recently directed her first feature film “Electra”, starring Oscar nominated Maria Bakalova and Jack Farthing. She has directed films for VICE, Nowness, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Kenzo, to name a few, while her shows have been featured in the New York Times, BBC, Forbes, ID, Culured and Art Forum.
